About Atlas of Names

Who maintains Atlas of Names, why the project exists, what it does not claim, and which human review remains outstanding.

Product owner and release accountability: Will Hu · Implementation and automated evidence: Manus AI · Updated · Independent human naming-quality reviewer pending

Atlas of Names connects naming jobs often split across unrelated generators: complete characters, family lines, settlements, countries, and kingdoms. The World Naming Board carries one local world brief across those tasks and exposes conflicts before a cast list or map becomes difficult to edit.

Maintenance and responsibility

Product owner and release accountability: Will Hu. Implementation and automated evidence: Manus AI. Independent human naming-quality / language reviewer: not yet appointed. Will Hu’s named scope does not imply linguistic, legal, cultural, or professional credentials. The site does not invent a biography, credential, team roster, customer list, testimonial, or legal qualification.

Design principles

The task appears before explanatory content. Base generation is local and deterministic. Every result carries seed and version provenance. One genuine job maps to one URL. Claims require visible methods and limitations. New pages, languages, or cultural datasets require independent approval and evidence.

No affiliation

This independent tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by any author, publisher, game studio, fictional franchise, naming authority, cultural institution, registry, or legal clearance service.

Known limits

Similarity is an editorial signal rather than trademark, copyright, linguistic, cultural, or identity clearance. Pronunciation is an English-readable approximation rather than IPA. The site does not claim cultural authenticity, legal availability, uniqueness, ranking performance, or human review that has not occurred.

Report and revision

Use the persistent contact and correction form to submit the route, generated result, seed, engine version, observed problem, and requested correction. It returns a public reference and status URL. Will Hu reviews correction and rights reports within five business days.
