Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using the publicly available Atlas of Names MVP and its fictional naming suggestions.

Product owner and release accountability: Will Hu · Implementation and automated evidence: Manus AI · Updated · Independent human naming-quality reviewer pending

MVP status: Atlas of Names is a publicly available experimental tool. Use does not create an account, paid service, professional relationship, or guarantee of continued availability.

Permitted use

You may use generated suggestions and locally downloaded outputs for lawful writing, game design, role-playing, brainstorming, and internal evaluation. You are responsible for reviewing any selected name before publication or commercial use.

No clearance or guarantee

Generated strings are suggestions, not searches of trademarks, copyrights, publicity rights, real-person identities, cultural practices, domains, or platform handles. Similarity warnings are editorial aids only. The MVP does not guarantee originality, uniqueness, fitness, cultural accuracy, legal availability, indexing position, ranking, or AI citation.

Responsible use

Do not use the tool to impersonate real people, misrepresent affiliation, evade rights review, target protected groups, or create unlawful or abusive material. Do not misstate automated output as culturally, historically, linguistically, legally, or human verified.

Changes

Methods, filters, interface, availability, and these terms may change. Material changes require a version increment, regression evidence, and an updated acceptance record.

Known limits

Similarity is an editorial signal rather than trademark, copyright, linguistic, cultural, or identity clearance. Pronunciation is an English-readable approximation rather than IPA. The site does not claim cultural authenticity, legal availability, uniqueness, ranking performance, or human review that has not occurred.

Report and revision

Use the persistent contact and correction form to submit the route, generated result, seed, engine version, observed problem, and requested correction. It returns a public reference and status URL. Will Hu reviews correction and rights reports within five business days.
